Specialty: Megan is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is designed to help individuals heal from the symptoms and emotional distress resulting from traumatic experiences. EMDR can also be used in the treatment of anxiety disorders, including panic disorders and phobias.  

Megan obtained her Masters in Counseling from California State University, East Bay in 2010. Following her graduation, she worked at a community-based mental health agency for 10 years. Megan has experience working in residential treatment with severely emotionally disturbed adolescents, as well as working with families in-home to provide Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS). Megan also has experience working with various school districts providing Educationally-Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS) to students who qualify for special education. ERMHS includes individual and group counseling, clinical case management, and assessments. Her love of assessments led her back to school to pursue school psychology. Megan graduated from Brandman University in 2020, where she obtained her Masters in Educational Psychology and Education Specialist Degree in School Psychology.

Megan is currently a school psychologist overseeing a counseling enriched program at an elementary school. She is thrilled to join the TheraTree community and enjoys working with children, adolescents, and young adults. Her specialties include anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, and school-related disabilities.
