Services Provided: Therapy, Psychological Evaluations
Megan is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and a Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP) who provides both counseling services and psychological evaluations within our clinic.
Specialty: Megan is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is designed to help individuals heal from the symptoms and emotional distress resulting from traumatic experiences. EMDR can also be used in the treatment of anxiety disorders, including panic disorders and phobias.
Megan obtained her Master's in Counseling from California State University, East Bay in 2010. Following her graduation, she worked at a community-based mental health agency for 10 years. Megan has experience working in residential treatment with adolescents with significant emotional and behavioral needs, as well as working with families in-home to provide Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS). Megan also has experience working with various school districts providing Educationally-Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS) to students who qualify for special education. ERMHS includes individual and group counseling, clinical case management, and assessments. Her love of assessments led her back to school to pursue school psychology. Megan graduated from Brandman University in 2020, where she obtained her Master's in Educational Psychology and Education Specialist Degree in School Psychology.
As an LMFT and LEP, she brings both clinical counseling expertise and assessment training to her work at TheraTree, supporting our psychological evaluation services as well as individual counseling. She is thrilled to be part of the TheraTree community and enjoys working with children, adolescents, and young adults. Her specialties include anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, and neurodevelopmental evaluations.
