  • How long is a typical session? 50 Minutes

    What can I expect from therapy? You can expect a non-judgmental and nurturing space to explore patterns that have led to undesired results and explore strategies to overcome and thrive.

    How often do I go to therapy? Generally, we recommend weekly to begin with to establish a connection and gain further understanding. Most importantly, we recommend consistency in attendance.

    How long do I attend therapy for? As long as you are benefitting from treatment and want to keep working towards agreed upon goals. However, you are able to stop therapy at any time you wish.

  • How much is it for a session? $200 for in-person or telehealth session (50 minutes in duration) for individual adult sessions. $225 for child, family, couples, and parent coaching sessions (50 minutes). Community-based sessions are available and costs are to be determined pending travel time and distance.

    Do you accept insurance? We have some providers who accept Lyra EAP, Aetna, and Optum. For those paying out of pocket, we offer a superbill if you wish to seek reimbursement from your provider. However, we cannot guarantee that you will be reimbursed or will qualify for reimbursement.

    Do you offer a sliding scale? We do offer a limited number of sliding scale fees. Please speak to Guy Hernandez at guy@theratreecommunity.com

    What forms of payment do you accept? We accept payments in the form of credit cards that are processed via the Simple Practice online platform that all clients have access to.

    How often do I pay for my sessions? Payments are processed the same day as the session.

  • What is your cancellation policy? Please cancel sessions at least 24 hours before your scheduled session otherwise you will be charged for the session.

    How do I schedule an initial session? You can schedule a free 15-minute consultation on our main “private therapy” page. From there, a staff member will walk you through the process and assess your needs to find the best fit.

  • What educational and background qualifications does the staff have? Presently, TheraTree employs 5 Licensed Marriage & Family Therapists, one Licensed Educational Psychologist, one Licensed Clinical Social Worker, two Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (Pre-Licensure). All employees possess a Master’s Degree in their respective fields. All pre-licensed staff are supervised by a clinical supervisor.

    We also contract with an additional 5 psychologists to support our evaluation team.

  • What services do you offer? We offer private therapy, parent coaching, parent workshops, and psychological testing.

    What are your primary specialties? TheraTree specializes in treating adults, children, and families that are experiencing anxiety, depression, family conflict, parenting challenges pertaining to school avoidance, tech addiction in adolescents, adoption, behavioral challenges, and early childhood trauma. We are skilled at treating mental health and co-morbid learning challenges.

    Are there any areas of need you don’t provide services for? Presently, we do not have staff well versed in treating substance abuse or addiction, psychosis, disordered eating, or bi-polar I disorder.
