Allura MacGillivary Lehrer is a highly experienced speech-language pathologist based in San Francisco, with over 20 years of dedicated work supporting children and their families. Her professional focus centers on fostering communication in all its forms—whether guiding a child to their first words, enhancing social interaction skills, or supporting communication through assistive technology.

Allura has worked across diverse settings, including home health, public schools, and specialized programs for children with complex learning needs. She takes a holistic, relationship-based approach and brings advanced training in areas such as Autism Spectrum Disorders, Social Thinking, AAC, PROMPT, PECS, and the Hanen Programs. In addition to her clinical work, Allura has led teacher training and developed parent-education initiatives both in California and internationally.

She is deeply committed to collaboration, working closely with families and school teams to create environments where children feel supported, connected, and empowered to thrive.

Outside of work, I enjoy rock climbing and board games. My simple pleasures include Sunday crossword puzzles and coffee.
