Services: Speech and Language Evaluations

Rebecca Prather, M.S., CCC-SLP, is a Speech-Language Pathologist who believes communication is fundamentally about connection, belonging, and being understood. With over 14 years of experience supporting children, families, and educators, she brings a neurodiversity-affirming approach to her work with autistic individuals and those with diverse communication needs.

As both an SLP and Expressive Arts Therapist, Rebecca integrates drama, art, play, movement, and storytelling into her work to foster rich language development, social reciprocity, emotional expression, and meaningful connection. She is especially passionate about facilitating creative social groups where imagination, collaboration, and authentic relationships become pathways for communication, confidence, and belonging.

Rebecca completed her graduate training in Speech-Language Pathology and Autism Spectrum Disorders at San Francisco State University, including specialized training in play-based intervention, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), Hanen, and SCERTS.

One of Rebecca's greatest strengths is partnering with families. She helps caregivers create supportive structures that foster self-regulation and co-regulation within everyday routines, recognizing that communication thrives in the context of safety, connection, and authentic relationships. In addition to her clinical work, Rebecca facilitates trainings on disability awareness, neurodiversity, belonging, and inclusive practices for educators, caregivers, and community organizations. She is dedicated to creating spaces where individuals feel seen, valued, and empowered to communicate in ways that honor who they are.
